Care Kits for the Crisis Care Team

Help me give my students access to regulating activities when in crisis. It is the job of the Crisis Care Team to support schools in crisis, but we need to equip them to do so.

My Project

As a District Crisis Care Team, roughly 100 counselors, therapists, and social workers are trained to respond to crisis in schools. We have the knowledge and training to support individuals and communities in crisis, and our team is called upon when a need arises.

While we have the training, these calls are not planned or scheduled and often time team members are responding with no notice.

Creating "Care Kits" for team members to keep in their car will allow us to show up ready to support in any situation.

In a crisis, we never want to put the responsibility on the school community to provide resources and materials. But often times, we don't have access to our own materials because we are responding in an emergency. These storage bins, activity materials and tissues will be distributed to each member of the team. They will be able to customize their "Care Kit" with tools and resources they find necessary and have it readily available when they are called to respond.
