My Project

With this project, I am hoping to bring comfort and calmness to our classroom. Students often come to school carrying invisible backpacks of baggage. School should be a place where they can let that go and be taken care of.

Using comfortable chairs, various snacks, markers for mindfulness, and new whiteboards, this project will bring comfort to my students.

Some kids come to school ready to learn. But many of my students come to school to eat, to feel safe, to feel loved.

It's my job to meet students where they are. If I can make school a safe place where kids like to be, then I have done some good in this world.
