it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My dream for this school year and every year moving forward is to provide a Care Closet for my students. By setting up a Care Closet that offers personal-care items for any students who need them, I hope to make them as comfortable and happy as possible while coming to school.
A Care Closet will help student's meet their physiological needs, which will allow them to relax and focus on their schoolwork, instead of what they may be lacking.
I plan to open our Care Closet in the morning so students can grab or use an item that they may need that wasn't available at home, which will allow them to feel better that day. I then want to open it again in the afternoon in case they need something to take home with them, like shower gel or a toothbrush/toothpaste. I hope this not only helps make my students happy and comfortable, but also hopefully takes a small burden off of their adults at home who are doing their best.
