Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I've noticed a need in my school that I would love to help. Many times children have accidents whether it be potty or even spilled milk and don't have a change of clothes. In my class alone this year I have had a student need new underwear and bottoms 3 times in the last 30 days, and have to be forced to sit and wait for over an hour or more to get new clothes. Sometimes they don't even get the clothes and wait until the end of the day. There are also students who just don't have the funds to be provided everything they need. My goal is to start small with simple basics like underwear, socks, deodorant, toothbrushes, and toothpaste, but eventually I would like to have a closet full of new and like new clothes, snacks, and personal hygiene products. I would love your help kick starting my care closet that will benefit so many children in our K-12 school.
