My Students

I am a third grade teacher at an urban school in Indiana. I am one person, of many, who every day makes a difference in the lives of the students who enter our school. We build readers, writers, thinkers, scientists, historians, and mathematicians.

My school community is comprised of financially struggling families of all races, languages, and religions and extremely hardworking teachers and staff.

My classroom is made up of students of all abilities, multiple language speakers and a variety of backgrounds. As a community, we are trying to give all the students attending our school an opportunity for a better future.

My Project

Albert Einstein once said, "Play is the highest form of research." This variety of card sets will help engage my students in learning in a fun new way and make that play more meaningful. Each set of cards helps my students practice a third grade skill.

Making learning engaging and fun is every teacher's goal.

These card sets will allow students to practice for standardized tests, play math games, and provide writing inspiration. I know they will love the variety of opportunities to extend their learning and connect with their peers.
