Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students LOVE to learn! They are eager learners. They come to school with the brightest of attitudes. They are respectful, courteous, kind, and attentive. They love to read and also love to be read to! They love art and in short, really enjoy being taught to. Unfortunately, our school-issued books are dull and boring and take the excitement away from our learning.
With the donated Teachers Pay Teachers gift cards, I plan to purchase FUN, engaging, and informative hands-on resources and activities from a site that specializes in creating well-crafted student-centered activities which will captivate and immerse my students in their learning in a WHOLE NEW WAY!
I have many resources already saved that I plan to purchase with these gift cards: an entire unit covering all Human Body Systems - with hands-on experiments! With this resource, I plan to turn my classroom into a surgery room and give my students the opportunity to put into practice everything we've learned by "operating" with a hands-on experiment!
Some other resources I plan to purchase with these gift cards are reading comprehension passages about the circulatory system, resources about the 13 colonies, and early US History - including the American Revolution! Other resources include the 50 states and capitals, and many many more science & social studies activities!
All in all, fifth-grade is an exciting year to learn so many fun and interesting science and social studies topics, and fortunately, with the gift of your donation, we will be able to bring these magical learning experiences to life! Thank you so much!
