My Students
Words cannot describe how excited I am to have my first classroom! Due to the fact this is my first year teaching, I am trying to grow and expand my resources! In addition, our students come from a variety of different economic backgrounds with 100% of students receiving free breakfast and lunch.
My school is also one of the most ethnically diverse schools in the city, where students speak a multitude of languages.
As diverse as our students are economically and culturally, they are diverse in their academics. Everyday I make sure to welcome my students with a smile on my face and in return they exchange a smile back, ready for to learn and succeed. Despite many hardships my students may face, they are eager and put in their best effort. They know that in our classroom is never about a perfect outcome, it is instead about the risks and effort put forth. My students certainly deserve a successful and engaging classroom, where they can become life long learners.
My Project
My fourth-grade students in our classroom are hoping for a whiteboard easel to use daily with in our room. We are hoping to replace our makeshift cardboard easel with an actual whiteboard easel. This will help Students participate more engaging through it being able to access this dirty white board during daily lessons. Currently we use a cardboard easel and it tends to fall over daily which causes unnecessary distractions within our classroom. So we are hoping to receive a sturdy easel to post anchor charts and also use daily for interactive learning within our fourth-grade classroom. In addition we are hoping to receive dry erase markers to use with the easel as well as a magnetic base to hold the markers.
