My Project

Our climate change project empowers students to reduce waste by creatively repurposing discarded cardboard, particularly from Amazon boxes. We aim to acquire a Chompsaw to enable safe and precise cutting, transforming this abundant resource into valuable materials for projects ranging from furniture prototypes to functional tools and artistic creations.

The Chompsaw will significantly enhance student learning by fostering innovation, improving safety during material processing, and promoting hands-on engagement in sustainable practices.

Precise cutting capabilities will allow for more complex and functional designs, encouraging critical thinking and problem-solving skills. By directly manipulating recycled materials, students will gain a deeper, tangible understanding of environmental responsibility and the potential of a circular economy.

We are limited to scissors which are inefficient, imprecise, and very unsafe, limiting the complexity and scope of student projects. The Chompsaw offers a safe and efficient solution, allowing students of all ages to confidently and effectively cut and shape cardboard. This essential tool will unlock their creative potential, enabling them to fully explore their ideas for repurposing cardboard and make a more significant impact on waste reduction within our school and community.
