My Project
The 3rd graders at my school are so excited about learning and love when they get to use their hands to build! We will end our school year with a cardboard challenge to put our recycling skills to the test. Students will design and build a mini-golf course and golf clubs entirely from cardboard. We will collaborate on creating a larger course with three other 3rd-grade classrooms and eventually host our kindergarten buddies to try out our courses. The "Chomper" tool will allow the students some autonomy in cutting their designs instead of relying on adults.
We have a diverse range of students at our school, from many different backgrounds and speaking many different languages.
Constructing ideas and projects is a wonderful way to build confidence and friendship among them. They are active and imaginative, and I can't wait to see what they come up with!
