Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My seventh grade English Language Arts students are wonderful. They are kind, thoughtful, and for the most part, love to read. They are mostly from Queens. My school is a Title I school, which means that a large percentage of our students come from low-income households.
This project will help me keep my updated and diverse in-class library organized with a card catalog system so when students borrow books, I know who has them out.
When students want to borrow a book, I remove the card from the sleeve, and hold onto it. When they return it, the sleeve goes back in the book. It's a great system but the supplies add up. Funding of this project would be very appreciated and helpful.
