This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This year I had the privilege of working with amazing 3rd graders. I was doubly blessed because some of them had been my students in 1st grade! Not only have they have grown into caring individuals but have also shown a commitment to learning.
Some of my students have shown a budding career in art while others are on their way to one day being acclaimed writers.
As such, I want to make sure that they have the materials needed to continue nurturing their interests during the summer. The composition books will allow children to use as a journal or for creating stories. With the art supplies they can put in to use the elements of art as they "capture" their summer experiences.
