Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am fortunate enough to be able to work with students in a preschool disabled class. My students have different needs and abilities. They are at different levels of cognitive, social and emotional, and physical development. My goal is to provide a classroom that helps my students reach their fullest potential I currently have 7 students on my roster, but that number is expected to grow as the school year progresses. My students' differences don't define who they are. I will not allow them to feel labeled. Supporting them is the only option!

My Project

In my Preschool Disabled Classroom, we strive to celebrate even the smallest successes. A key component of these celebrations is sharing them with our families. Picture snapshots are frequently and shared with families throughout the day. Having a camera in the classroom would allow me to send home physical pictures with my students for their families to share and display without having to print them. A camera would also allow me to instantly take and post pictures of my students engaged actively in the learning process. They say a picture is worth a thousand words and this couldn't be more true in my classroom!
