My students need toner cartridges to have as many opportunities as possible to highlight these achievements by displaying them in the classroom for everyone to see!
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.
I want my students to have the resources they need in order to be successful.
It is so important that my students have a safe, fun environment from the minute they walk in the door of my classroom to the time they are dismissed. Each student is different, socially, emotionally and academically. I focus on their individual potential and growth while they are with me. I may not be able to control their home lives, however, I can certainly control their experience during the school day. By doing this in a creative and positive way, I am hopeful to inspire even our earliest learners to continue on a path of academic excellence.
My Project
As my students find their love of reading and writing we want to find as many opportunities as possible to highlight these achievements by displaying them in the classroom for everyone to see!
They are ambitious and driven and truly have a love of learning.
My students are so enthusiastic about doing their work. In order to get them where they need to be and differentiate instruction, I need the ability to print and copy from my classroom. There have been so many times where a student has created a story that they want to share or highlight their achievements for all to see. Print some books, replace a paper that has been misplaced or just resources that have been found on the Internet that I know that the kids are going to love BUT we are out of ink!
Working in a High Poverty Title 1 school we do not have the budget to provide us with some of the materials needed. I would love to have the opportunity to continue showing evidence of my students work and achievements. We do this by printing out or making photocopies of their work so it can be displayed in the classroom and sent home to their parents! The only problem is that we are running out of ink! Colored ink will allow for their creativity to shine through their illustrations and black ink for all other work!
Black and colored ink will provide my students with endless opportunities to show off their work and for us to highlight the great job they have done! This will also increase their self esteem and push them to continue to work hard.
