Capturing Students' Brain With the Necessary Tools to Enhance Skills.
Help me give my students the necessary tools to assist them in being successful students. Also, giving them these helpful books and equipment will be a great addition to the classroom culture.
I currently teach business education in my classroom at an ESE/EBD center in Tampa, Fl for students with various learning disabilities. I currently, collaborate with local businesses to try and give my students the opportunity to experience the everyday skills that needed to be successful. I am also trying to integrate the business atmosphere in the classroom environment for students to have an idea what a board-meeting is like by trying to obtain a board room table. Unfortunately, tools and funds are limited for this to come to life.
My Project
An experiential approach for enhancing students' abilities to think and behave creatively is presented. The role of creativity in entrepreneurship education is becoming more significant as students and entrepreneurs are confronted with new problems that demand more integrative responses. Several experiential methods, both conceptual and behavioral, are discussed with the students, and applications to entrepreneurship courses are suggested. With strengthened creative abilities, students will gain an advantage as they enact new roles in the marketplace as innovators and entrepreneurs. I believe that much of present education fails because it neglects this fundamental principle skills needed in community life. By creating a classroom where real life scenarios are introduced to students in business class environment will result in them becoming a part of the life experience and so are truly educative.
