This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are creative hardworking and fun loving. I work in a Title 1 school in Texas, but that doesn't stop my kids from wanting, needing and loving fun and engaging activities.

My kids are excited to learn about Biology, but need engaging, fun and interactive activities to keep them engaged and learning at their best.

I have a very diverse group of kids that learn in many different ways and require hearing and seeing, writing and doing multiple times before the information sinks in.

My Project

This year I have had the opportunity to learn about and fall in love with the blended learning concept in my Biology classroom.

My blended learners will benefit greatly with the use of these Chromebooks.

In my school my students and I have limited access to inconsistent and often unavailable technology.

These Chromebooks will allow me to follow a true blended model with my students. This will allow my students to set the pace for their own learning while enabling me to have real time data to track their individual progress and individual needs. This will allow me to have more one on one time with the students that need that extra help while at the same time allowing others to step beyond the "average" student and expand their learning, while in the same classroom.
