My Students
I teach at a Title I school in Gravesend, Brooklyn, where 100 percent of our students are entitled to free lunch and breakfast. Our student population is very diverse. Students speak a multitude of languages such as Albanian, Arabic, Bulgarian, Creole, Georgian, Hindi, Polish, Spanish, Russian, Hebrew, Cantonese, Uzbek, and Ukrainian, just to name a few!
The kids are incredibly talented artists who are eager to learn, experiment and grow.
They are creative thinkers that love discovering new things and exploring new opportunities. They are each unique, with their own set of challenges as well as successes!
My Project
Many students are working remotely. Creating lessons that engage and support student learning, while working remotely, is extraordinarily important.
Students will be able to view art tutorials and understand step by step processes.
These tools will help my students sharpen their understanding and help them to improve their skills. It will also provide opportunities to record lessons so that they may refer back to the demonstrations.
The webcam, lighting and stand will be vital in creating content that clearly describes techniques, tips and use of materials. This will give me a greater connection with my students while working remotely.
