Capturing Our Progress: Video Cameras for Theater Students
My students need two flip video cameras in order to document their progress in theater class.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Madris's classroom raised $533

My Students
My students are struggling with being able to document their progress in theater class. How do they know if they have improved their ability to project their voices? Or increased their ability to convey emotion on stage? We need video cameras to help us track our progress!
My students are all low-income students attending a title one school in New York.
They are incredibly passionate about the performing arts and work hard every day to increase their acting skills. Unfortunately, our school does not have the funding and resources to provide the performing arts class with all of the materials the students deserve.
My Project
I am requesting two flip video cameras in order to help my students document their progress in theater class. These video cameras are easy to use and will be used daily by students to record their scene work, one-act plays, and in class rehearsals. These videos will help my students learn to be more reflective about the work they are doing. They will be able to document their progress as the year moves forward and reflect on how far they have come by the end of the year.
Supporting the arts in public schools is more important now than ever before.
My students are so grateful to have access to a performing arts program and as their teacher I want to make sure they have access to all of the materials they need to succeed. Video cameras will enable my students to become more reflective actors and learners.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
