This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

In many urban communities, students are not supplied with the same tools and materials found in more affluent areas. Learning about artists and creative styles provides my students with another way to share their thoughts and ideas. It offers new perspectives on their work and fosters creativity.

My students are dedicated to their development as lifelong learners.

At our school, our students have learned that they have the power to "write the future" and they do so throughout all subject content areas. They have explored many ways to share their ideas and communicate with their audience. They commit themselves to taking accountability for their education and work diligently each day to become stronger communicators. These cameras will widen their tool set to express themselves. They are in need of tools that will aid them in expressing themselves in an artistic and positive manner.

My Project

The cameras and memory cards I have requested will provide my students with the materials that will challenge and engage them, exercising creative thinking, artistic awareness, and expression. My students will be able to each have the opportunity to share their learning and passions in a different and sometimes more engaging way. The wide selection of supplies will allow for student choice and style. Your generous donations to our project will influence the lives of my students. With your support and contribution, my students will be able to play creatively with materials they do not have much exposure to. They will begin to successfully try new mediums and communicate their work to their peers.
