Capturing Engagement With an Interactive Touch Board!

My Students

My students are special in so many ways. We are in a school that services military children in our town. My school is truly a melting pot of diversity, talents, and cultures. My students love to learn and relate things to the real world. I make all learning fun and interactive as well as engaging for my students.

My students go above and beyond to be the best that they can be.

I am pushing for them to understand the importance of being organized, productive, and focused in an environment that is conducive to learning.

My Project

Gone are the days of using textbooks to teach from. Capturing students' attention can be a hard task at times. We have to motivate students to buy into what we are wanting to teach them.

Students' light up when the word "technology" is said in class.

If students can collaborate, get up, move and explore, they are more successful in the classroom. With this project, my students will have a board that is totally interactive and it will be utilized in many ways. Students will be using this board to teach each other by collaborating on math problems, run review races and solve problems. In science, we can virtually dissect an animal to learn about its anatomy. We can use Google Earth to take virtual field trips and see other countries and their weather. I also help my students that are involved with the show choir. The students can use the board to help design the choreography, as well as to learn lyrics and compose small pieces. The list goes on and on of how this board will help my students. It will be used for years to come!
