This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I will always remember the first time I attended my media technology class ten years ago in high school. I sat with my best friend at the time ready and eager to learn something I had identified as interesting to me. I could have never imagined how inspired I would be to eventually follow this passion all the way through college and into my career. This is a feeling I hope to give just a few of my bright, eager students here at our school.

My Digital Design and Media Production course is being built from the ground up for a school system that predominantly serves underprivileged scholars due to its location in southeast Austin.

The technology resources these scholars would have access to would likely be some of the only access they would have until college to learn technical skills that could set them apart. My hope is that through DonorsChoose.org that a few considerate donations could provide these scholars with opportunities they wouldn't have otherwise. This would make such a substantial impact on our ability to impact these scholars' lives.

My Project

Scholars will be provided with an opportunity to learn on an amazing Lumix camera system. I am really excited to continue to build upon prior successful campaigns and continue to build the resources out for these scholars that otherwise wouldn't have opportunity.

This camera will continue to build a fleet of cameras that will allow me to create a foundation for the program that teaches the students film-making, photography, and so much more.

I am so very excited to continue to build this with DonorsChoose.org with all of the love and support of everyone!
