My Project
This year my students want to create a photo gallery with the them of "Black Excellence". Students will be taking photos in my journalism class all semester to capture all the amazing things happening in our school and community.
Students chose the theme, "Black Excellence", to showcase the beauty of their school and community and create a counter narrative to fight against misconceptions and stereotypes about our school.
We need a new Canon Camera to help get more students hands-on experience taking photos for their projects. We have 30 students and 7 cameras, so a new camera would help close this gap. Students love having new equipment to try out and it motivates them and gets them excited about their projects!
