It has been a crazy few months for my students. Some still struggle to get access to online learning still after almost a month spent transitioning. My students are dealing with grief, anxiety, and as a teacher I am doing my best to help engage them in this new way, remote learning. I have such an old laptop that it is hard for me to download new material, apps, and have access to things that will help motivate my students to participate.
Last year my class made great strides learning about themselves and diving deeper into their wants, dreams, goals, and aspirations.
Now I plan to help my students pick right back up where they left off when they left school on March 13th.
Curious, enthusiastic, and creative; my students are eager to immerse themselves in any kind of challenge.
My students work hard for 4 years and all have the goal to attend college.
Our high school encourages all 500 students to get into college.
My Project
This laptop will allow me to download new materials to help create hands on videos, encourage students to participate, digitally create new and improved lessons, and be able to see my students through the webcam. My students are struggling being home right now, most of them are quarantined and can't even leave their house. I am trying to get the rigth laptop so I can help create videos adventures, class workouts, and motivate students to be more active and most of all help show them that online learning can be fun.
