Capturing 5th Grade Through a Digital Lens!

My Students

My students at South Shore are children who embrace differences amongst themselves, their peers, and the world around them. They take pride in learning and growing together through empathy and open mindedness. The students strive to be global learners.

The children have warm hearts, big smiles, and seek teachers who can love them.

It is when they know they are in a classroom with a teacher who cares that you will see the love of learning come alive, and when it does, it is a beautiful thing to witness because those students with warm hearts and big smiles, now have eager brains for learning.

My Project

My goal is for my fifth graders to be able to capture their projects, plays, and presentations using a classroom digital camera. Fifth graders are tech savvy. I'd love for them to utilize an actual digital camera to capture their academics to make it fun and hands on. They also have online portfolios, so having a camera available for them to choose which projects to take pictures of will also be an engaging task for them! Instead of me using my phone camera to snap photos during presentations or videotaping their readers theaters/plays, the students would love to be the one behind the camera, too!
