My Students

My students love to learn facts about animals, experience different places on earth, and understand current events. Often, these topics are discussed at home and my students are inspired to learn more! Time for Kids would allow my students the opportunity to learn through a kid friendly news source.

The students who will benefit from this generous gift are a group of wonderful second graders in WA state.

Our school is a diverse community made up of children from all around the world. In our classroom alone, we have 7 languages represented. 30% of my students speak a different language and are working hard to learn to speak, read and write in English. At our school, we believe all children want to learn and that they can and will learn with the proper tools and instruction. We thank you so much for your generous support of our magazine subscription. Making learning fun is so important and Time for Kids will certainly help with that.

My Project

Time for Kids covers a wide range of real-world topics and themes that my students love to learn about. It helps build critical thinking skills, writing, and vocabulary. My students will become informed readers through a colorful, exciting, nonfiction newsmagazine!

It is important that our children learn to read nonfiction text and Time for Kids will help accomplish that.

Our students hear about world events and helping them learn, through a kid friendly news source, will help foster their awareness for our world community. The colorful text and graphics will motivate even unwilling readers! My students and I thank you for your generosity funding our Time for Kids subscription.
