This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are one of a kind! They’re kind, respectful, helpful, smart and passionate. They’re excited about technology and love to work hands-on. I often get called mom by accident and I couldn’t imagine a greater honor. My students have so much potential and it is my passion to help them unlock it and achieve their goals. They’re my most favorite experience of my day! They truly fill my heart with joy, my mind with knowledge and my life with passion.

My Project

Students in my classroom work hands-on often. I would like to capture them in action and create boards full of their work. We love to use our hands to create projects. With a camera in our classroom, we can show the rest of the school what we are up to as well. I would like to use the pictures to track progress of students' work and also to create lasting memories of their hard work. Since there are over 120 students in the grade and little room for storage, sometimes projects get damaged or lost before students get to present. This makes them feel bad and as though their effort wasn't worth it. If I can capture their work in the moment, students can take more pride in their projects.
