This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I just finished my first year as a yearbook teacher and I'm so happy to be surrounded by such enthusiastic students. My students love taking photos, but right now, we are expecting over 100 students in our Yearbook Class and only have one working camera. A second camera means we can send students to more events and let them sharpen their photography skills.

This is so meaningful; right now, when students see our worn-out cameras, they feel disillusioned and uncared for.

Giving them the supplies they need will boost their confidence, creativity, and outcomes. One of our curriculum cornerstones is taking photos, and these students deserve that opportunity.
