This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My classroom is a self-contained kindergarten class. My student population consists of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Learning Disabilities, and Intellectual Disabilities.
Working with this population can be difficult, but it is super rewarding within this environment.
I teach the most interesting, caring, well-behaved scholars ever! My school is a student-centered environment filled with "world-class teachers!" As a team, we are continuously brainstorming ways to evolve as educators, and we are also advocates for family involvement in the learning process!
My Project
My students work very hard all year to accomplish goals on their IEPs and even personal goals that are not necessarily on record. It would be great to capture and print the moments that show that even the most smallest progress made is a big deal! I know parents would love to have a big moment captured for them and sent home with them.
My students will love seeing pictures of themselves and being able to share them with their families!
By taking pictures daily, my students can be reminded of the moments that they were successful and accomplished a goal. When they take these photos home, they will be able to talk to their families about what they did at school today.
