Capture Imaginations, Motivate Students’ Fine Motor Skills, Facilitate Social Interactions!
Help me give my students engaging activities and sensory toys that will develop their fine motor skills, engage, and facilitate social interactions with each other.
This project will ensure my students have access to engaging activities and toys that will develop their fine motor skills needed for numerous activities during the school day. This will capture their imagination and further motivate them to use their fine motor skills for school success!
Several of our students are nonverbal and in the pre-academic learning stages.
Having the means to create an environment to develop their strengths and challenges has been a great challenge for me as a teacher. Developing fine motor skills helps children eat, write, manipulate objects, and dress. Therefore, our lessons and classroom routines are embedded in fine motor skills activities. This project aims to give my students collaborative play while facilitating social interactions with each other to address social-emotional and academic learning.
