Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My amazing little people are living in a high poverty area of metropolitan area. These students do not have the opportunities for technology that have become a necessity in most people's daily lives. They are the children of parents who have a very low level of education. These parents are struggling to afford the basic needs for their children. Regardless of the daily struggle, my students are flourishing academically. My students would benefit greatly by upgrading basic technology in our classroom.
My Project
My project includes a digital camera and paper to print pictures. The camera will be used to take pictures of students engaged in activities while learning as well as pictures of our community as we explore our world.
Our classroom camera will enable us to make books of our activities and ourselves.
I will teach the students to use the camera and to create a document to teach others while fulfilling our technology requirements of using digital tools to create. As STEM is an ever growing part of education, our camera will become a tool to document our successes of STEM.
