My Project

I am the school librarian at a PreK - 5th grade school in middle Tennessee. Due to limited funding it is hard to purchase extra things such as caps and gowns for our Kindergarten graduates.

The goal of this project is to acquire caps and gowns for our Kindergarten students to wear during their special graduation ceremony instead of the usual t-shirts like they have worn in the past.

I feel that the caps and gowns will cultivate a sense of achievement and pride for the students, families, and school staff.

Caps and gowns are not only traditional aspect of a graduation ceremony but will signify hard work, dedication, and perseverance that will carry on throughout the lives of our graduates.
