This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

By equipping our classroom with caps & gowns, I aim to create an exciting day of scholar's success. With classroom caps & gowns, scholars & families would be able to focus on celebrating such a great achievement without having to worry about the lack of resources & funding to purchase a cap & gown. Having a set of caps & gowns for the classroom, I'll be able to provide my exceptional scholars with a graduation ceremony to remember year after year. It also ensures all scholars look uniform and no one has to be embarrassed or ashamed of what clothing they can or can not afford. Overall, these items will remove barriers, support scholars for years to come, and allow low income families the ability to look forward to and enjoy graduation without worrying about funding.
