This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are excited about learning. In spite of limited art materials, they do their best with to learn and improve. Their big problem is that they are economically disadvantaged. Their parents struggle to put food on their table and often are not able to provide art materials for school.

My students are talented, creative, and eager to show off their art skills.

I always say I have the best students in the school and I truly believe that is true. Each day I spend with them is the best day ever.

My Project

A sheet of paper is fine for practicing, but I can just imagine how excited my students would be to get to paint on a real artist's canvas. I want to see those smiles in my classroom.

I want my students to know that the art they produce is important.

How very proud they will be when they see their finished acrylic painting hanging on display at school and then being able to take it home to show their family! This though makes my heart happy.

Please help me make this dream a reality for the people who mean the world to me.
