This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our students are still recovering from Hurricane Harvey. We have a high poverty level. And now with COVID-19, it makes it more difficult to teach students.

I treat all my students as my own kids!

They love to paint and draw.

My Project

A lot of my students may not be able to afford to go out and buy a canvas to paint. I would love for my 5th grades to paint on a canvas before they move on to Junior High. It would be a great gift for them to remember.

I wish I had the money to buy them everything they need for art class.

But I can, I need this help for my students. I'm looking forward to the look on their faces when they are able to paint on a canvas.
