Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
A day in the art room is full of creativity in all forms! A diverse set of materials fill the room and engages the students in learning. We are working toward building a foundation of art materials to explore all mediums!
This school is a charter academy with an emphasis on fine arts!
The school serves students from kindergarten through 8th grade. This school is growing academically and is full of potential! The art program is an enrichment program to support creativity. Through joyful school experiences, we are forming lifelong learners and a positive school climate and culture.
My Project
In the art room, I try to give my students a well-rounded art experience by exposing them to all art mediums. Within ceramics and sculpture, there are a variety of experiences that I want to share with my students.
My students need non-stick canvas boards as bases to create their clay projects.
Clay sticks to the classroom tables and makes it difficult to work with as well as clean up. These canvas boards are non-stick and portable! This will help ensure the success of the project and save valuable learning time. Our classes are 45 minutes in length, and it is crucial to spend the majority of that time creating versus cleaning up. These boards will also be a safe method of transporting wet projects to storage shelves.
