My Project
My kindergarten class is loving our math progression and journey together. We have learned and reviewed numbers, explored basic concepts of addition and subtraction, and we are always strengthening our foundation in number sense. I would like to have center materials in my classroom that help students at different levels try differentiated math skills, as we are somewhat lacking in more complex mathematic activities.
My goal is to help my students feel confident in their math skills before moving on to first grade, where they will expand their understanding of mathematical concepts even further.
I plan to use these materials during center rotations, that way students can have a hands-on, meaningful experience with mathematical concepts. Learning through games is one of the best ways to learn, as they are having fun without realizing that their brains are growing! Our little learners are doing such a great job back to school, and for some their first year of school, and I want to make sure they feel confident moving into their next year. I also want to support my children who have a mastery of our kindergarten concepts, and are aching for a challenge.
