My students need these items to be productive. I use many anchor charts to post strategies using words and visuals. At times, students forget a skill, but they know exactly where to look!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students come to school each and every day ready for a new adventure. They want to take on the world by learning and challenging themselves to become better students! The classroom gives them that platform to evolve.
As a teacher, I am excited to work with some of the best kids out there.
Yes it can become challenging because our kids don't always have the positive attitudes, the materials or energy to learn. I try to put myself in their shoes and think, "how can I get them excited?" It's tough, but what I can do is help them realize that in life things are the way they are, but if we change our mindsets then we can think more productively. Watching these kids actually changing, growing and evolving is a blessing.
My Project
"I got this feeling inside my book. It goes electric, wavy when I open it. All through my classroom, and through the halls. We're reading on, no stopping when we are in our zone!"
In order to get this feeling, we need some supplies to make our 'thinking about reading' more visible.
We use post-its to write down a good jot about our books. We need anchor chart paper so that I can model various strategies to my students.
Good readers can READ, TALK about their books and TEACH others about their books.
