My Students
My students come from a rural farming community in South Central Oklahoma. Most students I teach have parents that are working in the oil or farming industry. We have a high free and reduced lunch rate percentage which means most of our students are eating in the cafeteria every day.
We also have many students receiving backpack food to take home on the weekends to help supplement their meals while they are not in school.
Students are in grades 7-12 in our Jr. Sr. High School.
My Project
Our cheerleaders have learned new dances while attending camp and having a bluetooth portable speaker that is portable will allow these girls to practice anywhere and possibly perform their newly learned skills at away games. Both our high school and junior high teams are in need of a first aid kit to carry to games and practices to ensure the safety of our student athletes. These items will allow are cheerleaders to improve dramatically and be safe while doing so. They are really excited about performing at the games and having a bluetooth speaker will make this more attainable. They would really appreciate these items.
