My Students

Our school is the bridge between lower elementary and the greater demands for self-discipline and personal responsibility expected at the junior high and high school. At our school we prepare our students for the challenges ahead with an emphasis on curriculum along with opportunities to discover areas of strength and interest.

This is my first year teaching in Coweta and I am excited to learn about my students, the school and the city of Coweta.

My goal is to help the students discover their love for reading.

My Project

I really want to bring book sets into my classroom library. If the students find a book they are interested in, they know there are more to read just like it. Each set would be in it's own tub in the library. I think the different genres will give the students all different kinds of books to explore.

I believe it is important to introduce kids to different types of books.

This is why I included poetry, adventure, and realistic fiction. I also want to be able to display the books. I want to be able to draw their attention to them. I want to put the stands, with a book on it, on top of the bookshelf to grab their attention.
