This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are a group of bright, creative, curious, and very active 5-year-olds who are currently learning about the world that surrounds them. They are striving their hardest to learn as much as they can during their first school experience.

Our school is a Title I school with 100% of our students receiving free lunch or reduced-price lunch.

The majority of my students are English language learners and yet at such an early age, they are eager to explore anything and everything that they can get their little hands on. They love hands-on learning.

My Project

This school year has had a very different start than previous years. My classroom is empty and I am missing each and every one of my students. However, the teaching and learning must continue. For this reason, I am requesting a set of twelve 4 ounce liquid tempera paint bottles for each of my students. This would be such an amazing gift for each of them to have. This would allow them the opportunity to express their thinking through a piece of art.

My kindergarteners still need to be able to learn in a play-based environment and use art and visual representation as a way to share their thinking.

This project would allow my students equal access and many opportunities to create amazing pieces of art, while learning and incorporating the arts into our day schedule!
