My Project

AZACS is the first and only tuition-free autism-focused charter network in our state. Since opening our first campus in 2014, we have offered best-practice programming for children at all levels of the autism spectrum. Our program is grounded in the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to help students overcome behavioral and communication challenges and to acquire skills to be successful in a school environment. We are focused on each student's individual growth by using data-driven instruction. AZACS also offers STEAM and project-based learning and has been recognized nationally for its innovative programs.

Learning just a couple of chords on the guitar will unlock an entire array of songs!

One skill I would like to pass on to my students is how to play guitar chords so that they can ultimately choose their favorite songs from all of their favorite bands and media!

By having these guitars in my classroom, students could learn the music they love! The students will be taught chords, which would allow them to play the background to any song and let them sing over it. They would also be taught how to read guitar tabs, a translation of sheet music to numbers that allow students to understand music all the more easily. This is an awesome way to learn how to play solos! All in all, the students would be taught chords and tabs with the end goal of choosing their own songs to learn!
