Your contribution helped us purchase new tools, comfortable stools for our repair benches, and an organized labeling system—items that directly strengthen the hands-on learning environment our program depends on. Because of you, our student techs can work safely, comfortably, and with real industry-style equipment.\r\nOur students are training to become the next generation of device repair technicians, IT specialists, and technology problem-solvers. Many of them are learning to diagnose, repair, and maintain real hardware for the first time. The tools you helped fund allow them to practice with confidence; the stools give them a proper workspace for long troubleshooting sessions; and the labels help us keep our repair shop running like a true professional environment. They immediately wanted to play with them. Once the sets were organized into labeled storage boxes, every student was building with the K'nex. While some students tried to build from the instructions with the sets, others used their creativity to make something different.\r\n\r\nWe have had two projects since we received the materials. First, students built mazes to drive our Sphero Mini robots through. Some groups set up the mats in shallow boxes as I had modified them for, but some groups decided to use them differently in their mazes. Second, the students were challenged to build cars powered by Sphero Minis or Bolts. The students came up with a variety of designs whether they worked individually or with a team. Next, we will use the K'Nex sets to make scale models for other projects such as building a bridge.","fullyFundedDate":1727028959648,"projectUrl":"project/full-steam-ahead/8735252/","projectTitle":"Full STEAM Ahead!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Katy","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9526090_orig.png?crop=272,272,x9,y7&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1714749648246","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9526090"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_106815","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":102,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":24,"percentAsian":4,"percentBlack":4,"percentWhite":51,"percentIndigenous":6,"percentLatinx":28,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"US Census Data for the surrounding geographic area","gradesServed":"Not specified","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"Census ZCTA","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":null},"inStateSupporters":70.8,"schoolId":106815,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Arizona Autism Charter School Main Campus on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Arizona Autism Charter School Main Campus","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/arizona/arizona-autism-charter-schools/arizona-autism-charter-school-opening-8-2014-/106815"}
