My Students

The students in our innovation school are primarily from diverse cultural backgrounds made up of lower income families; about 85% of our students qualify for the free and reduced lunch program. Regardless of the hardships, most of the families are committed to making sure that their children perform at their maximum potentials utilizing whatever resources are available. All of the students deserved the privilege of the best quality education that our system can afford and I believe we can always do much better with additional resources afforded to us.

My Project

Our students have worked hard all year long to meet challenging academic goals. We feel that it would be most appropriate to reward them with an exciting interactive field trip to an amusement part where they can fun experiences as they socialize and learn at the same time. Learning will take place on a scientific and kinesthetic basis as they explore the mechanics of the roller coaster rides, music performances and peer challenges as they compete at parlor games. This social event will help them to understand that hard work pays worthwhile dividends and that their effort has resulted in a good venture. Our hope is that the students will be invigorated in such a way that they will continue their focus academically in all future endeavors.
