Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My energetic, bilingual students are a group with smart minds. They challenge themselves to grow their knowledge every day. This year I have a class full of extremely intelligent children who are working day in and day out to strive for excellence. I will be looping with them to third grade so I have to find a way to keep them thriving.
This group of kids has every barrier set up against them in their personal lives and they come to school and are successful despite all the odds against them.
They all come from low income families whose parents barely speak the English language but are still outshining the other students. These loving, caring, sweet, persistent children are eager to learn more each day.
My Project
Please help me keep my kiddos fed. Most adults know that having an empty stomach makes you stressed, frustrated and sometime just plain mean. How can we expect kids to work on empty stomachs when we know even adults can't do it?
Snacks help the kids stay on track throughout the day.
Especially my student who don't have much food at home. I try to make sure every child get a snack when they are hungry no matter what time of day it is. This allows them the concentration that they lose when hungry. Please help me keep their tummies full so they can worry about other things like learning instead of thinking they wont have another meal soon.
