This project gives us additional texts that go along with our curriculum unit! During our third unit, students listen to Can You Survive the Wilderness read aloud by me, and we have so much fun deciding as a class which choices to make, but we only have one copy!
I love how excited they are about this unit, and the students have specifically asked that I get more Can You Survive books for my classroom library so they can not only read alone and decide themselves, but also explore different areas and settings!
The students get the opportunity to write their own Choose-Your-Own-Adventure narratives during this unit, so the more examples they have to learn from, the better!
