This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are all unique. They come from different backgrounds, cultures, and abilities. However, they share a fondness and love of dance. For example, I have students who have the desire to pursue dance as a career despite their socioeconomic background. I have other students who have found dance as a form of therapy to cope with emotional and social stresses that at times can encompass the lives of teenagers. My students are dedicated and passionate to dance at ILTexas.

My Project

Having mirrors would assist my dance students and I in many ways. The dancers can use the mirrors to learn choreography, clean dance movement, and most importantly they can see how they should look. The dance mirrors will help our dancers understand their dance positions and placements in formation when dancing in groups. The main goal is for the dancers to rehearse and see what they look like before they go and perform for their audience. As a teacher/director/ performer it is important that they get the full dance class experience and succeed as dancers. We would really appreciate your help with this goal!
