Students learn best when they are engaged and having fun. In science, I want my students to learn that when things vibrate they make sounds, and what better way to teach this concept is by using tuning forks. In this lesson, students hit the tuning fork on the table and dip it into a cup of water and see it splash.
These materials will teach my students that vibration makes sounds.
It's such an exciting hands-on activity that I want to have enough tuning forks for each student in my class to experience seeing that vibrations make sounds.
