This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our students have Autism, ADHD and many other learning disabilities. Our children are all considered non-verbal and are low functioning autistic students. Our children are highly active and need a 2:1 ratio for learning and safe supervision.
They each have their own distinct and unique gifts and abilities that make it both a joy and a challenge to unlock.
They are loving and caring students that will surprise you daily with their odd sense of humor and contagious love and laughter. Our goal is to increase their developmental learning through technology that will assist them in seeing themselves in our curriculum.
My Project
The Digital camera will help our students see themselves in a different light. Our students need to get use to seeing themselves in print. Having a Digital camera will assist us in making this come true.
Facial recognition is a daily part of technology and we want our students to be able to capture and keep pictures of themselves and the lessons they are learning.
Daily living skills are apart of our curriculum. The daily use of Dressing Vests will assist them in becoming more independent. The mood and emotions mirrors will help them see what they look like when those emotions are shown.
