My Students

Have you ever had to comprehend content that you didn't hear and couldn't read? Have you ever had problems following directions after hearing them only once?

I teach kindergarten in Oklahoma.

The variety of learners in my classroom includes readers and non-readers. Despite their differences, they all deserve positive learning experiences. These children need a solid foundation as they journey to becoming independent readers.

My Project

Talk Blocks and Talk Points are recordable devices that reach beyond simple listening and speaking practice (auditory) to also include visual reinforcement. The technology allows you to record directions, words, or individual letter sounds. Early learners need clear directions to be able to work independently. These resources will help increase students' success when working independently.

Children need structure and routine in order to feel safe in the classroom.

Talk Blocks and Talk Points will give them the opportunity as non-readers to understand their daily schedule, events, and directions so they can focus their attention on their learning!
