Our multi-age classroom is a community of learners and growers. We spend two years with our students, guiding them and watching them blossom. We emphasize working together and being a community. Each student helps another and learns in the best way, by teaching.
Our students are an amazing and diverse group of third and fourth graders.
They come from high poverty areas. School is often their comfort place and provides food as well as stability. The school is Title I funded. Our classroom is like a community, and we want the students to feel comfortable and safe to learn.
Headphones are very important and highly needed in our classroom. Many of todays learning is being geared towards electronics. Whether I choose to teach with technology or not, state testing is being done on computers. My students need headphones to help with their online testing. Not only do my students use their Chromebooks for online testing, they use them in daily writing activities as well as reading phonics games.
It is really important with 50 students in the classroom for the students to be able to listen to their devices and hear only theirs.
The bundles of headphones would ensure no student goes without a pair to help them with their learning needs.
