My Project
During their time in my class, I work to show my students the rewards hard work brings, as well as to show them that our unique differences are to be celebrated and respected. I teach in a Title I school with all of my students receiving free lunch. While our families want their children to be successful and there is great community support for the schools, many students do not come to school prepared with the necessary supplies. I do my best to ensure that all students have what they need academically, physically, and emotionally during the time they are in my care.
Technology has become an integral part of student learning.
In order for my first graders to be able to access this technology they need to be to able hear! Learning can be noisy and adding in sounds from tablets and computers can cause too much distraction for other students.
Providing students with their own set of quality headphones will allow students to stay focused while learning with technology! With these headphones, scholars will be able to hear directions in our online programs that tailor instruction to their just-right level in math and reading. Early readers will be able to strengthen emerging skills and develop a love of reading as they listen to stories being read aloud to them. And they will be able to hear the exciting sounds of online learning apps!
